Pheasant Shoot

Not too many years ago we used to have the shoot on the Common every year, but nowadays the only pheasant shooting done is with the camera and this morning we enjoyed a visit from Percy. Any pheasant visiting our garden is called Percy after our first regular pheasant visitor which was named Percy by our then young children!
This is our current Percy which, as I am writing this, is still eating the dropped seeds under our feeders.

Isn't he magnificent
Such stunning plumage

Good morning Percy

This morning our noisy visitor was Percy the pheasant, enjoying the view from the top of the swing.

When we first moved into our house we used to have a pheasant visit our back yard every day pecking at all the dropped seed from the bird feeders. The children called him Percy. So now every time a pheasant visits us he is always referred to as Percy.

These photo's were taken through double glazed windows, so not too great. I then went outside to get some from the gate but Percy flew off!
